So, what do you think of 2020 so far? We’re almost
at the halfway mark and I haven’t determined if the
glass is half-empty, half-full or just fully nuts. Remember the nuttiest news of early 2020 was Planters killing off Mr. Peanut during the Superbowl?!
But I digress.
Transition to the “New Normal” has affected all industries and demographics – from tech to teaching, telecommunications to transportation – and beyond. Front-line workers continue to be the superheroes. The rest of us try to do our part as we all hope for a resolution sooner than later. That said, I hope you’re managing in Surrealville.

Being a voice-over artist, self-isolation is always pretty much a daily routine regardless. However, the projects I’ve recorded have never ALL dealt with the same theme. Until lately. The primary request in recent months from clients is for a vocal delivery with “gravitas” i.e. a serious tone with some weight. If that’s the narration style you require for your project – a solemn approach with underlying nuances of hope, confidence and accomplishment – let’s mask up and get to it. If not, and you need something with a wry or comedic edge I can also deliver that. No, seriously.Below, I honoured the “gravitas” narration style request for a Chinese research team, a California IT company and a Quebec firm with an innovative new product.
Some of my recent CoVideo narrations. So to speak.
