I hope you’ve been keeping well. It’s been a while. I’ve been trying to process how to reach out and stay in touch in a seemingly endlessly depressing news cycle. Let’s face it, the pandemic has been a large slice o’ surreal. And just when we thought there was light at the end of the tunnel, that light was apparently the reflection off the balding head of a diminutive megalomaniac.
Perspective has again been realigned. As such, we try to help our fellow humans in whatever way we can, large or small.
My wife’s efforts have been large – spearheading a local initiative in helping two Ukrainian families get settled in our Toronto community.
My show of solidarity, while relatively small, was personally necessary – terminating involvement in an animation production based in Russia in which I had two roles. Ethically it was the thing to do.
We pray and hope that sanity – and sanitizing – gets us through the confounded madness of the 2020s.

Now, in the spirit of lightening the overall mood in the room, and by room I mean planet –
allow me to serve up some light refreshments in this “Food & BeVOrage” update.

I was brought on board by Montana’s Restaurants in Canada to provide the voice over for a series of TV commercials.
Here are some of them….Bon appetit. * * * * *

There’s chicken. And then there’s spicy chicken!
The Alpha Foods Spicy Chicken commercial I WANTED to share with you was even too spicy for the client to launch. Ah, for cluck’s sake.
But here’s a somewhat milder spicy spot from a fun online campaign.

To close out the Food & BeVOrage update, if sufficiently suffonsified with steak and “chicken”, something to wash it all down. Launching in the weeks ahead is a new Red Bull campaign. The humorous animated energy drink spots return to a visual broadcast platform near you. I’ll be the voice chanting the famous catch phrase…”Red Bull gives you Wings.”
Watch (listen) for it taking off soon!
